USA: US Executive Order on Immigration

Latest News on US Executive Order on Immigration

On Friday 27th January, the White House press secretary released the complete document signed by President Trump to ‘protect the nation from foreign terrorist entry’. In order to protect Americans, there is a 90 day ban on entry and visa issuance for citizens of Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. The Executive Order also included a 120 day suspension on the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP).

Over the past weekend, various court orders have been held for parts of the Executive Order to be suspended however the court orders are being applied inconsistently.

It is likely that this situation will change over the coming days therefore, please contact your Immigration Consultant or contact immigration@sterling.com  to seek further advice.
