The Department of Homeland Security and Department of Labour release regulatory agendas for Autumn 2018
The Department of Homeland Security is revising the “speciality occupation” requirements in order to increase the amounts of obtaining the best foreign national workers through this route. The proposal to re-evaluate the requirements will most likely be published in August 2019.
The Department of Homeland Security has proposed an amendment to the H-1B cap in order to regulate the acceptance of applications and the lottery process. Details are currently not released.
H-4 Employment Authorisation
The plan may be to remove certain H4 spouse from the EAD (work authorisation) eligibility. The changes are due to be published.
