United States: USCIS issues first receipts for the H-1B cases

The USCIS has begun issuing the first receipts for the H-1B petitions for the tax year of 2019. The immigration authorities have confirmed that they have completed the lottery to select cases for further processing after receiving 190,098 applications.

All successful applicants will be able to commence work from October 1st 2018. It is important to note that the USCIS has stopped the premium processing for H-1B applications and this will remain in effect until 10th September 2018.
