Turkey: Update on new registration system (KEP)

The new registration system for Work Permit Applications may cause delays

The Ministry of Labour has recently introduced a registration system for companies called KEP (kayitli electronik posta). This system is aimed at registered companies to enable them to send and receive official communications with the government directly. Any company that wishes to sponsor a foreign national work permit must use their KEP account.

This new system process may cause considerable delays in any work permit application while it is implemented. In response, the Ministry of Labour have stated that temporary measures will be announced, including the reactivation of the previous applications system until any technical challenges with the new system can be solved. This should mitigate any processing delays for applicants.
