Thailand: The Single Window is officially up and running

As of 31st July 2018 the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) declared that the Single Window must be used by companies to apply for visas and work permits. BOI companies must now electronically file work permit, long-term visa applications and renewals for expatriates when applying at the One-Stop Service Centre (OSSC) in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket.

When filing at Once Stop Service Centre in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket, foreign nationals under Board of Investment companies will receive a Thailand Digital Work Permit (TDWP) and not the previously issued work permit booklet.

It is not mandatory that Board of Investment companies undergo training on the Single Window for Visa and Work Permit. This will allow companies to familiarise themselves with the system and requirements.
