Sweden: Updates On work And Residence Permit Application

Latest on updates on work and residence permit application

With immediate effect in Sweden Work and Residence Permit Renewal applications are expecting significant delays due to resources being focused on the ongoing “migrant crisis”. It is expected that Renewal applications are now taking 4 to 6 months to be processed whereby they previously took 5 to 8 weeks.

Authorities are still working on prioritising new Work and Residence Permit Applications; the first time applications will take 1 to 2 months to process and 3 to 5 months for foreign nationals who have worked in Sweden previously.
