The Netherlands: Japanese and Turkish Nationals’ option over National Immigration Scheme or European Union Intra-Company Transfer Directive Changes to Dutch Citizenship Act

Latest News on Changes to Dutch Citizenship Act for Japanese and Turkish Nationals

Due to national trade agreements with The Netherlands that are set with Japan and Turkey, nationals of either country who otherwise qualify are now able to choose the European Union (EU) Intra-Company Transfer (ICT) immigration option. It has been available since the implementation of EU ICT directive on 29 November 2016. This will not affect their ability to access other current schemes for example, the Highly Skilled Migrant Scheme (HSM).

Recent updates suggest, Japanese and Turkish assignees being assigned to The Netherlands can benefit from current national trade agreements between The Netherlands and Turkey and The Netherlands and Japan.
