On 15 February, our APAC team will join the Chinese population in celebrating Chinese New Year.
Each Chinese New Year is named after one of the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac; 2018 is the Year of the Dog.
People born in the Year of the Dog are said to be independent, sincere, honest, loyal and decisive. They are not afraid of difficulties in daily life and they enjoy a harmonious relationship with the people around them.
Sterling reminds assignees and global mobility teams to be aware of closures during this period of festivity, which could potentially cause delays. For example, rental payments should be processed in advance and immigration documentation may be delayed.
Sterling’s offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and China will be closed from 3pm on Thursday 15 February through to Monday 19 February. However, it is business as usual for our offices across the rest of the world.
We wish our assignees, clients, friends and families a wonderful Chinese New Year and a successful, healthy and happy Year of the Dog!
