Mexico: Documentation requirements change for Mexican immigration processes

The National Immigration Institute (INM) has declared changes to documentation requirements for the Mexican immigration processes. The documentation changes are included for the below processes:

  • Change of Address Notification process now requires one of the following documents to be submitted as proof of residence: phone bill (for landlines) water bill, electric bill, estate tax statement, gas bill
  • Notification of new employer / Change of workplace now requires a current of the Basic File certificate for the new employer
  • Temporary Residence for Non-Remunerate Activities now needs company letters sent from the home (sending) company to the INM outlining the activities the foreign national will conduct in Mexico
