Colombia: New requirements for minor Children travelling via air

With immediate effect anyone travelling to Colombia with children under the age of seven will be required to provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate.

Any traveller who is accompanying foreign national minors to Colombia will need to carry an apostilled / legalised copy of the birth certificate. Those travelling with Colombian national children must carry a copy of the birth certificate (issued by the notary where the birth was registered).

Regardless of the nationality of the minor, if they are not travelling with both parents, a travel authorisation from the absent parent(s) must be carried.
