Four year rule for foreign workers cancelled
The regulation that required foreign nationals working in Canada to leave after a four year period has now been cancelled by the Canadian government. Foreign nationals who are coming up to the four year limit and have applied for an extension to remain will be notified that the rule is no longer applicable.
Applicants who had to leave Canada due to this rule can apply to return to Canada without waiting for four years but will still be required to meet other immigration requirements.
