Azerbaijan: New Online Visa System

Latest update on Azerbaijan’s new online visa system

Azerbaijan’s State Agency on Public Services and Social Innovations (ASAN Centres) have begun to process electronic visitor visas through the new “ASAN Viza” system.

The ASAN Viza system will issue an e-visa for a period of 30 days. Foreign nationals can now only apply for a new e-visa from outside Azerbaijan. It is important to note that the expiry date of the applicant’s passport and other travel documents should be at least three months later than the expiry date of the e-visa.

The applicant must submit specific information via the new system and once approved, an e-visa will be issued within three business days so plan accordingly. The consular fee for the e-visa will be USD 20 and all notifications including issuance or cancellation of the e-visa will be sent to the applicant’s email address.

Once issued, the applicant should print the e-visa and present this along with their passport at the relevant point of entry. Those applicants who intend to stay in Azerbaijan for more than 10 days should register with the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan online or in person at a regional migration department within ten days of arriving in the country.
