The Global Talent Scheme will be introduced on 1st July 2018 and will run for a period of twelve months. This scheme will allow business and start-up companies to sponsor foreign workers on the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS Subclass 482). • Companies are allowed to sponsor twenty workers per year
  • Employees who qualify will be eligible for a four year Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS Subclass 482) visa and able to apply for Permeant Residence after three years
  • The application process is simpler and the processing time is reduced

Start-up Stream

  • This route allows start-up companies to sponsor foreign nationals who hold specialised technology skills
  • Companies are allowed to sponsor five workers per year
  • Employees who qualify will be eligible for a four year Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS Subclass 482) visa and able to apply for Permeant Residence after three years
