Argentinian minors require a travel permit to travel abroad
Children under 18 years old who are residents of Argentina are required to have a travel permit if they wish to travel abroad. This travel permit must be signed by both parents before a notary public. The notary will also need the parents of the minor to provide original passports, birth and marriage certificates.
If the minor is travelling alone or with one parent, the Argentinian immigration authorities at the border will ask to be provided with:
- The travel permit
- The minor’s passport
- The minor’s Argentina residence ID
- The minor’s birth certificate (translated into Spanish)
It is worth noting that that any foreign nationals residing in Argentina must plan to obtain the travel permit prior to any travel abroad.
