The Dutch Immigration Authorities announce New Salary Thresholds for 2019

The Netherlands “Immigratie en Naturalisatie Dienst” (IND) have released the new salary thresholds for 2019. These new thresholds will be introduced from 1st January 2019 and will be applicable to local hires, international assignments and extension of stay applications. The salary thresholds will be outlined below:

  • Applicants aged 30 years and older – The new monthly gross salary is fixed to EUR 4’500
  • Applicants aged 30 years and younger – The monthly gross salary is fixed to EUR 3’299
  • Higher education graduates – Graduates from a Dutch institution or international institution (listed in the top 200 in the ranking list) will have a monthly salary fixed to EUR 2364 if they take up employment within 3 years of graduating
  • Blue Card applicants – The new monthly gross salary will be fixed to EUR 5’272
