Switzerland: Increase in Work Permit quotas for 2019

The Swiss authorities have published the annual Work Permit quotas which will come into effect from 1st January 2019. The quotas are:

Non-EU/European Economic Area (EEA) nationals

  • 4500 long-term B Permits
  • 4000 short-term L Permits

EU/EEA nationals (these are issued quarterly)

  • 500 long-term B Permits
  • 3000 short-term L Permits

Croatian nationals

  • 953 short-term L Permits
  • 103 long-term B Permits

Romanian and Bulgarian nationals

  • 996 long-term B permits
