Latest update on Saudi Arabi’s Nitaqat structure to be revised

The Ministry of Labour has publicised their intention to revise the Nitaqat structure regarding Saudiasation. The purpose of the MOL’s plans is to further increase the presence of Saudi nationals the private sector. The four areas of concentration will be as follows:

  • Increasing the number of female Saudi nationals that are employed
  • Increasing the average salary paid to Saudi national employees
  • Increasing the length of service of Saudi nationals by each company within the public sector
  • Determining whether the skill level of the jobs carried out by Saudii national is administrative in nature, involves management of personnel or other technical expertise.

The revised structure is expected to be put into effect towards the end of the year.
