Latest update on tighter eligibility measure for skilled migrant residence visa announced

Tighter eligibility measures in New Zealand for the Skilled Migrant Category Resident visa have been announced. The points threshold has increased from 140 to 160 and must be satisfied regardless of whether an individual is in receipt of a job offer.

An English language test has also been introduced for some individuals to evidence their level and knowledge of the language.

The new measures are effective immediately.
