Immigration Update – India/United Kingdom

From 19 August 2016, applicants are personally required to attend a compulsory biometric appointment for applications submitted in any of the below categories:

  • Employment Visa;
  • Journalist Visa;
  • Research Visa;
  • Student Visa;
  • Visit Visa (this requirement is only applicable to Pakistani nationals);
  • Project Visa; and
  • Missionary visa.

Individuals under 12, over 70 and applicants who are unable to provide sufficient fingerscans will be exempt from this requirement.
