Canada: Temporary Work Permits for French Speakers

Latest on Canada’s temporary work permit for French speakers

From 1 June 2016, individuals who speak French on a daily basis are eligible to apply for a temporary work permit under Mobilité Francophone stream of the International Mobility Program. Individuals applying under this provision will receive exemption from the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LIMA) as long as they are intended to work outside of Quebec. The job role does not require the individual to communicate in French this stipulation is solely for the individual.
