The Federal Police in Brazil have issued stricter documentary requirements on foreign nationals for the mandatory Police Registration
Foreign nationals are required to register with the police once the relocate to Brazil. Under new documentary guidelines the Federal Police require the following documentation:
- An original birth certificate (also marriage certificate if applicable) or a legalised copy
- Police clearance certificate (which covers the last five years)
- All copies must be legalised and notarised in the country it was issued in
- Documents must be translated into Portuguese
- Birth certificates
All foreign nationals are required to submit all the above documents to avoid any hold up in processing times.
